What Is Drivers Training

Now that you have your Learner's Permit, or you are over the age of 18; it's time to put what you have learned in the classroom into action. Driver's Training is the actual behind the wheel instruction on public streets. Here you will take what you have learned from Right Way Driver's Education or the DMV's printed driving handbooks and apply it behind the wheel. This course consists of one-on-one instruction with a student and California licensed Right Way Driving Instructor.

Throughout the three, 2-hour lessons, our Instructors will assist you in the proper ways to safely maneuver a vehicle through various traffic types and conditions such as "surface streets", residential areas and freeways. You will learn the strategies that will keep you alert, focused and confident when behind the wheel. Not only will we teach you the skills required for passing your final exam at the DMV, but we will also educate you on avoiding the most common mistakes new drivers make. Close to 80% of all reported accidents are not due to age but are due to inexperience. We strive to give you the know-how to minimize inexperience on America's roads.

With practice comes success, so when complete; take the time to practice the techniques you have learned from Driver's Training. Parents, practice with your teenagers as much as possible before they take their final test. Consider this; in martial arts, yoga, sports, etc. it can take up to 5,000 repetitions to burn an action into your body's "muscle memory" as well as your mind. The same goes for safe driving. Now we are not suggesting you Parallel Park 5,000 times before your Driver's Test; we are simply illustrating a point to help motivate you to practice as much as possible to increase your chance of success. And continue to practice after you get your license to gain mastery...

...and keep those insurance rates down. :-)

  • We offer free pick-up and drop-off. The terms of this free service are as follows:

    • Pick-up is local, within our boundaries and on paved streets only – call for available pick-up areas.

    • Student should be ready WITH PERMIT IN HAND 20 MINUTES before pick-up. If you wear prescription glasses or corrective lenses; they too will be required for training.
